Mel Gibson Month: 2 Fast 2 Furious
So Mel Gibson Month is technically over, but he’s made enough films that I can probably continue to write about them periodically.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to watch another actual Mel Gibson film, but I did watch another film that featured a Gibson.
Tyrese Gibson plays Roman Pearce, some kind of racer guy who works with Paul Walker. The key to understanding Gibson’s character is that he is completely incapable of wearing shirts with sleeves.

The reason I watched 2 Fast 2 Furious is because it was on TNT a few hours ago so my roommate and I watched it. For whatever fucking reason, it’s on again now after the original The Fast and the Furious and them some awful tv show about attractive people shooting aliens.
I can’t really follow the plot that well, but all I know is that because Paul Walker is with Eva Mendes in this movie, it means that his character didn’t really work things out with the lady from the first movie, which makes me sad.
Also, it is important to recognize that this movie has really shitty green-screen sequences as well as a pretty ridiculous wardrobe.

I mean, this picture doesn’t really do the wardrobe justice, so imagine Tyrese Gibson wearing like an all bright-red suit with a red hat and then Ludacris with something ghettofabulous.
There’s a generically evil Miami villain who threatens to torture people and beat up Eva Mendes and then he gets arrested at the end after Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson blah blah blah I had thermodynamics homework so I didn’t capture all the plot nuances.
